About
Maria Cristina Campilho has a master’s in architecture from Escola Superior Artística do Porto, with the final project: Rehabilitation of an 18th century housing building in Porto.
Since 2011 she has been working as an independent architect.
In 2014 she was distinguished as an Honourable Mention in the João de Almada Award, a prize for the rehabilitation of Porto’s architectural heritage. In 2015 she was awarded an Honourable Mention in the International Prize for Architectural Restoration Domus Restauro e Conservazione, from the University of Ferrara.
Her interest in rehabilitation stems from an early acquired taste that has always led her down paths that relate to heritage and research.
Her work is always the result of the paths she travels between the beach and the mountain, the estuary and the river’s spring, the islands and the mainland.
